Why join Sierra Leone Grammar School Old Boys Association (SLGS OBA)?
Without the ongoing efforts of the Sierra Leone Grammar School Old Boys Association (SLGS OBA), the school’s development into a world class educational institution would be a distant aim. Instead, thanks to SLGS OBA fundraising, we have completely rebuilt our ICT (Information Computer Technology) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) facilities right up to modern standards – and have plans to develop the school’s capabilities even further. Poorer students are given vital scholarships, the school’s resources are shared with the wider region and our pupils are trained and supported in high level leadership skills. But all of this is dependent on the wide-reaching support and planning of our alumni.
Becoming a member of Sierra Leone Grammar School Old Boys Association keeps you up to date with everything going on at SLGS – from fundraising to the continual revitalisation of the school itself, to OBA-exclusive events such as our annual Thanksgiving and End of Year balls. With hubs in both the UK and USA, SLGS OBA is at the heart of both the ongoing transformation of our school campus and the huge leap in learning standards and technology being implemented at SLGS.
